Mr Grant Tucker started
the mother company Opium Litho after having discovered a niche in
the market for good quality affordable priced business cards. Doing
some market research within the industry I found that my competition
charged a similar rate for business cards, R 299.00 for a 500 cards.
I sat and worked out the costing and realized that for as much
as the cards were reasonably priced they were expensive. I worked
out the worst possible earnings per print run and this looked
really promising. At my rate charged currently there is huge potential
income for both the franchisee and the franchisor. My experience
in this field has taught me that there is an enormous amount of
small/medium sized businesses that are trying to cut costs and
the catch phrase R299.00 per 500 cards will attract them to us
rather than our competitors.
South Africa is not the only market that can be reached with
the low cost of overnight deliveries and speedy turnaround and
quality, we will be a force to be reckoned with the world over.
I envisage Business Card Warehouse to become a service provider
for every printer throughout South Africa.
